So I'm still not sure if this is an "appropriate" question, but does anyone have any good suggestions for modifications to Ghiradelli Triple Chocolate Brownie Mix?

I've played around with replacing the 2/3 cup of water with 2/3 cup of coffee, and throwing in 2 teaspoons of vanilla, but I was wondering if people had other suggestions.

I understand that this question is fairly unguided, but I figure I'll open the floor up and let people share their favorites. I'm trying to make a "fantastic" brownie, without too much fuss.

You are correct in doubting whether this would be an appropriate question. Currectly your question takes the form of a poll where you are asking people for their favorite _______. This is very subjective and there is no real "answer." This will undoubtedly be closed. One way you can improve to question and keep it open is perhaps have an end result in mind and ask how to obtain that result. For example, if you want a brownie that taste chocolate-ier or is chewier, or is softer, etc. Set a goal for the type of brownie you are trying to achieve and ask how to achieve that. – Jay Mar 20 '12 at 2:24
It's certainly appropriate to ask about recipe modifications, but this particular question is too open-ended; it doesn't identify anything specific that seems wrong/weak about the existing recipe nor does it give any hints as to what kind of result is wanted/expected. See What types of recipe questions are allowed? for more info - this is currently more along the lines of asking for recipes than modifying one, but if you can be more specific, we'll reopen it. – Aaronut Mar 20 '12 at 2:37
No, I'm okay with letting this post stay closed. I have more focused questions about the art of brownie baking, anyway. – StevieP Mar 20 '12 at 16:33
