I have a billion frozen Guavas and wanted to make something regional with them. What are some dishes typically made directly from guavas.

What do you mean by "regional"? They're grown all over the world. – Jefromi Nov 30 '12 at 3:03

I think even if you name a specific region, or say you don't care, this is still way too broad and should be closed (see meta.cooking.stackexchange.com/questions/740/…). There's tons and tons of things you can make with guavas, and you can find all kinds of recipes if you just search online. – Jefromi Nov 30 '12 at 3:14

possibly add "that use them up quickly" then I would suggest the Christmas treat, Guava Cheese diamonds. Got through kilos this way on Maui. – Pat Sommer Nov 30 '12 at 6:53

To search recipes/dishes given an ingredient. But I think @underarock is looking specifically for traditional dishes, not just any recipe (despite the question's title is not clair about that). – J.A.I.L. Nov 30 '12 at 7:57
"searching for a recipe" questions are off-topic here, even if it is restricted to regional or some other kind of recipes. The culinary uses tag is reserved for things not normally used as food. – rumtscho Nov 30 '12 at 12:33
