I am looking to buy a vegetarian cookbook for my 11 year old niece. She has some basic cooking knowledge, and has just turned vegetarian (and so she's cooking for herself). Does anybody have any recommendations?

It's a rather esoteric topic shabbychef. I dug up some amazon results for you. –  hobodave Sep 13 '10 at 5:33

thanks for the effort. I should have mentioned that I found several possible candidates via google and amazon. However, as the saying goes, a person with a watch knows the time, a person with two watches is never sure. I was hoping someone would have experience with one of the cookbooks... –  shabbychef Sep 16 '10 at 4:40

We have both of Mollie Katzen's books for kids, Pretend Soup and Honest Pretzels. The recipes are decent and the layout really works for younger kids. An 11 year old might find them too basic, though.

I was able to find a few options just by searching amazon.

I don't have kids, nor am I a vegetarian, so I can't exactly attest to the quality of these. At least you have an answer now though. :)
