Ok I apologize I might have over exaggerated! I did add the two tablespoons but I was afraid they would still cook so I added a bit more (about 1/4 of the liquid) to get the temp up. The eggs weren't cooked before I put them back in the double boiler but I'm thinking heat might have been it because my water boiled off a bit

Yes sorry I was using double boiler and I turned it down and added about 2 cups of the hot liquid to the eggs to temper and it was all good until I combined it all

comment Why didn't my brioche rise?
When I added the initial flour it was the consistency of pancake batter but I added some more about 1.5 cups and it was very sticky but more like a biscuit which I think would have been fine if it had risen.

I will try weighing my flour instead. As for the heat I actually measured the milk to 100 degrees but I will try proofing it next time like usual. I made another bread the same day and that worked beautifully and I used the same yeast. I'm going to try another better rated recipe. Thank you for all the tips =)
