I am a Drupal fan, currently maintaining some modules on Drupal.org. I switched to Mac, and became a Mac fan.
When I am not on Drupal Answers (where I am moderator), Stack Overflow, Meta Stack Overflow, or English Language & Usage, I am on Drupal.org removing spam, creating patches for Drupal core, or reporting issues with the documentation.

If you are interested in Italian, Italian Language & Usage is the proposal I suggest you.

This does not provide an answer to the question. To critique or request clarification from an author, leave a comment below their post - you can always comment on your own posts, and once you have sufficient reputation you will be able to comment on any post.

comment What fuel (burning material) gives the best flavor to meat when barbequing?
@derobert It's quite subjective; it depends all from what you call the middle of the USA.

comment Does oil evaporate?
@Jefromi Probably there is a pressure for which the oil would not be solid, or liquid. The effects reported by rumtscho are caused by the heat, which causes the long molecule of oil to break up before it can evaporate. That is the reason why using oil at too high temperature, or re-using it is not suggested: Those broken molecules are toxic for us.

@Mien I got the Deputy badge when the requirement was to have a flag weight of 500; considering that the flag weight increased of 10 for each helpful flag, that means 50 flagged posts to get it. That is the minimum number of flagged posts, because any declined flag would decrement the flag weight.

comment Cheapest place to get bulk chocolate?
The cheapest place is by definition localized. I don't think the cheapest place is going to always be the same.

comment How does boiling remove vitamin C from food?
@MSalters At the same time, it is also true that temperature can inactivate AAO, which you point is what can destroy vitamin C.

comment How does boiling remove vitamin C from food?
@MSalters The presence of AAO doesn't imply that all the LAA is oxidized to LDHAA. ("A 10-min thermal treatment at 80 degrees C almost completely inactivated AAO in broccoli.") "L-dehydroascorbate can then be reduced back to the active L-ascorbate form in the body by enzymes and glutathione," which means that LDHAA is still usable from the organism.

comment What makes a pasta shape pair with a sauce?
There could not be in-authentic Italian dishes, but there are "traditional" dishes. For example, it's traditional to eat spaghetti aglio, olio e peperoncino; you will difficulty see penne aglio, olio e peperoncino.

The hot chocolate you find at an Italian cafe is thick, even without being cioccolata fiorentina. :-)

comment Cooking away alcohol
The boiling point of a solution is different from the boiling point of the single components of the solution. If the boiling point of the water is 212 F, and 173 F is the boiling point of the ethanol, the boiling point of a solution of ethanol and water is between 173 F and 212 F; it will be 212 F is the solution doesn't contain ethanol, and 173 F if the solution doesn't contain water.

The Dutch oven self-shrinks when it is not used.

comment How does boiling remove vitamin C from food?
My point is that the temperature at which you boil vegetables doesn't destroy vitamin C.

As side note, quattro stagioni is the Italian phrase for four seasons.

comment How does boiling remove vitamin C from food?
When people boil vegetables, the vitamin C is dissolved in water; that is what soluble in water means.

It's what I said: When the water is evaporated (100 °C), the vitamin is still solid.

comment How do I get rid of mayonnaise smell?
I agree; I have never found a mayonnaise that smelled of yeast, both in Italy and USA.

comment Tzaziki: the drink, not the sauce
The drink was probably called tzaziki because it used some of the ingredients used for the sauce; tzatziki is not an Italian term, and I don't think that is the name used for that drink.
