comment Is “sealing in the flavor” an actual thing?
From the Wikipedia "Frozen food" article: "Cryogenic or (flash freezing) of food is a more recent development". It's possible that some foods are still not 'flash' frozen tho I haven't been able to find any explicit evidence easily. And 'flash freezing' seems to be both a marketing term used by one of the original pioneers of frozen foods (Birdeye) as well as a term that covers more recent freezing technologies.

How cool and how dry? And how to keep it that cool and that dry? Is a regular refrigerator cool and dry enough?
