What are the advantages of using agave sweetener instead of sugar? Where would you get glucose/dextrose from? |

Which container to use for combined milk? Thanks for the answer. What about using the two new containers? Or should I avoid those as well? |

Reheating a Pretzel Do you close the paper bag? Where do you place the water? On the pretzel? At the bottom of the bag? (This last method seems like it would cause a mess.) |

What can I do with a bunch of onions? I was unaware that another family member had purchased the same huge bag a few days earlier. |

What are the advantages of using agave sweetener instead of sugar? so are you saying I should ignore the 3:4 ratio (by volume) they recommend and use less? If I use the 3:4 ratio, I am getting exactly the same amount of calories. |

What are some vegetarian meat alternatives that are not soy-based? @Brendan: As far as avoiding soy: I don't want to eat too many soy isoflavones, plus I already know that soy could be used as a substitute. |

What are some vegetarian meat alternatives that are not soy-based? @Brendan: As far as avoiding products that taste like meat: I can't stand products that try to artificial replicate the taste of meat. I'd much rather have, for example, a burger like patty made of vegetables where I can actually taste the vegetables used. |

Butter substitute for 1 cup of butter for baking Any idea how much less oil to use? 10% 20%? Or how much water to add? Or would both cancel each other out? In other words: 1 cup of butter should be replaced with 80% (of a cup) of oil and 20% (of a cup) of water? |

Butter substitute for 1 cup of butter for baking Is this a 1:1 replacement? I.e. do you use 1 cup of applesauce for 1 cup of butter? |

Can I filter out vanilla bean seeds? That's exactly the reason that makes me choose one vanilla ice cream over another. Having visible vanilla beans is a benefit. |
