How to set yogurt in the room temperature between 20 to 16 degree Centigrade? @mfg you are correct. Its not really a "pilot" light, but an oven light. I have corrected the mistake in my reply, above. |

How to set yogurt in the room temperature between 20 to 16 degree Centigrade? "pilot light" = the litlle light inside your oven. In the "normal" case, it turns on when you open the over door, and then turns off when you close it. On my oven (and on most other ovens), there is a switch as well, which allows you to leave the light on all the time. |

Can I boil milk unattended (and still keep the pan clean)? Hard to believe, but this worked like a charm. In my microwave (approx 1300 watts I think), on HIGH setting, 1 qt (= 1 litre) of milk takes about 6m 30s. Thanks! |

What is the difference between Yoghurt and Curd This answer is relevant to the USA. In many other countries, what USA calls "yogurt" is referred to as "curd". (e.g. India. and, I am guessing UK) |

What is coriander root and where can you get it? "you can use the stems as a substitute" -- The roots actually taste quite different from the stems. |

How might I roast coffee at home without investing in an expensive roasting machine? Sorry I was not clear. If your goal is to roast coffee for the fun of it (and to satisfy your intellectual curiosity), of course you should go for it. But if you are as lazy as I am, and are simply looking for a way to make good coffee, then you are better off spending the effort on finding freshly roasted whole beans from a store. |

How do I make soft chapattis? And what would be the scientific basis for this technique (assuming it works, which I am skeptical of)? |
