Cookware, copper or cast iron or just buy the right tool for the job? I love my well-seasoned cast iron, but do you ever use yours to make an omelet? I still have a small teflon pan to whip up the morning 2-egg breakfast staple. |

Cookware, copper or cast iron or just buy the right tool for the job? I would argue against a new Lodge skillet or any of the cast iron from China. What they don't do nowadays and did do on many of the old enough thrift store pieces was machine the surface smooth. Without this, you can't properly fry an egg, although deep frying will still work. |

where can I purchase a “wonder pot”? I found nothing on ebay, even expired auctions, so you did better than I did. Still $70+ is a bit too much to allow for my food pr0n hobby. If this is a good "baking on a stove" tool, I would think the backpacking crowd would have adopted this as a solution. Maybe that heat spreader is too heavy? Anyway, great pictures in that auction. |
