How long do you have to cook wild morel mushrooms for them to be safe? Oh, my. That looks nothing like the morels I've seen in the US. The most common ones in my area are the black morels. |

How long do you have to cook wild morel mushrooms for them to be safe? Based upon your description, this must be a very different morel. The black morels found in the US are typically soaked in salt water to get rid of insects living inside them, and then sauteed in butter (with or without battering), and are not uncommon in high-end restaurants. The only indication I've found of concern is repeated warnings not to serve them raw, and one incident of a naive chef who served them raw in a salad, resulting in numerous patrons becoming ill. |

What kind of dishes use fresh coriander fruits I could not find any information indicating that coriander and cilantro are separate, but similar, herbs. Are you sure you are not thinking of culantro rather than cilantro? |

What is the difference between whole grain mustard and regular yellow mustard? @Peter excellent point. I was assuming US mustard in my answer. In addition to English mustard, there is also Chinese yellow mustard. |

What happens if you freeze a soft serve of ice cream? +1 Great answer. Many, many moons ago I used to work after school in a popular soft-serve franchise. We sold pints and quarts of the soft-serve for take-out, which was stored in a regular freezer. We would also "hard freeze" the soft-serve to make the ice cream cakes. Ice crystals were never a problem (the advice in Thusagen's answer, and derobert's comment, were applicable and accurate). The result of freezing was firmer product with a texture similar to, but not quite, regular ice cream. The difference is most likely due to the lower fat and extra air, as you mentioned. |
