comment How to store brown sugar without it becoming hard?
I've never seen a "brown sugar disc" in a cook shop before - may be there isn't the demand in my area...

comment How to make omelettes extremely quickly
+1 This is pretty much the same method that they use on "Saturday Kitchen" (Made for the BBC); although most of the shefs that do the challenge on there seem to be around 20 seconds (they don't add the water though)

comment Can I filter out vanilla bean seeds?
All the restaurants I've been to leave the seeds in to show they've used real vanilla pods over essence or extract (so there is a perceived better quality)

comment How long will a balsamic reduction keep?
@yossarian Depends on your climate, but my local friendly supermarket sells it ready-reduced and we just store the bottle in the cupboard with no problems (it's sold as ambient goods)

comment What is the difference between Yoghurt and Curd
@joyjit "Yoghurt" would be the UK term; Curds would either be the solids used to make cheese from, or fruit curds which are dairy free (made from egg yolks, sugar, citrus juice)
