comment USDA or Food Labeling?
Just my opinion so I dont want to enter this as an answer, but USDA often give generalized answers for worst case scenarios. If there are two types of bacon where one can last 2 week and the other only last 1 week, the USDA will say you shouldn't eat it after 1 week. The differences come from how these bacons are cured. Bacon when fully cured are suppose to last a very long time. But nowadays manufacturers only partially cure the bacon so the shelf life for these meat product will vary from company to company. So I'd go with the package date. Especially if its in a vacuum pack.

comment How to reproduce charcoal flavor in steaks and burgers from restaurants
Open flame from gas fire? Or open flame from wood fire? Often times wood fire imparts smokey flavors unique to the wood burned.

Hello limalimolina, welcome to Seasoned Advice. Recipe request are strictly off-topic here. As well as asking to make something "healthier." We deal primarily with the culinary aspect of food and not with nutritions.

comment Can I safely thaw and refreeze sorbet?
@Catija thats true. I guess it really depends on how the OP wants the popsicles. I naturally just assumed they want a softer/like-sorbet texture for their popsicle.

May I ask where your numbers are coming from? Is this from personal experience or do you have some sort of source? NO offense, but it just seems kind of random to me.

What method did you use to make your original sorbet? Did you have a ice cream machine to churn the mixture or was a different method used. And do you remember the concentration of sugar you used?
