Why do egg dye recipes include vinegar? By the way, if it has something to do with acidity, could the vinegar be replaced with some other acid (such as ascorbic acid)? |

How can I make home-made veggie burgers stay together so I can grill them? Could you clarify what type of "rings" you refer to? |

If a recipe calls for canned beans and I want to use dried beans, what do I need to do to the dried beans first? +1 for mentioning toxicity. |

Is there any way to “Salt” unsalted cashew pieces? +1 for the suggestion of finer-grained salt, but note that you'll need some oil, though, or the salt will just fall off. |

Best way to reheat pizza @philosodad: the toaster oven more or less cancels out the chewiness that the microwave would add. The microwave/toaster oven approach is definitely about balancing convenience with quality. The toaster oven alone gives a somewhat better overall result but takes longer. |

Does adding oil and fats affect bread crust development? If you want the crust to be darker but everything else the same, try raising the temperature by 50F. |
