Feb 2, 2015 at 22:24 | comment | added | Ross Ridge | The primary advantage of IQF (individual quick freezing) is that it prevents the frozen food from freezing in clumps, so I don't think it'll make much difference in terms of texture or flavour. If you want your own frozen food not to clump you can try freezing them "individually" on a baking pan and then move them to a sealed container. My mom does this with bacon and it should work with most vegetables. Probably not worth doing with fruits though, unless you're going to eat them frozen like Jemmeh's suggestion. | |
