How to keep a cheesecake layer seperateseparate from filling during baking?

I want to make an (dutchDutch) apple pie with a layer of cheesecake. As far as I know I have a few options:

  1. Bake a cheesecake, then simply add a layer of apples. moreMore or less like: enter image description herecheesecake with apples on top

However, this is not what I want.

  1. Use a known recipe with a result like this: enter image description herepie with apples in it

Option 2 is exactly what I'm looking for and exactly the type of pie. I want to have crust on the bottom, sides, and top.
