Jul 27, 2010 at 19:56 | comment | added | yossarian | I find a sink full of cold water works fine. The fact that you've got a frozen object in the water helps counteract the air temperature. The USDA suggests still water and changing the water every 30 mins. Much less wasteful than leaving it running. I also find that something like chicken breast will have defrosted in 30 mins anyway. | |
