I'm a great lover of my cast iron skillet (herbivoracious.com/2009/11/my-skillet.html) and this is generally how I season it as well. Also, after every use and wash I heat it back up on the stove to make sure it is scrupulously dry, then give it a wipe with a little vegetable oil and a paper towel and let it cool down naturally. I find this maintains the seasoning perfectly. | |
