Beer produced by large breweries has long been sold in cans, but I've noticed recently that more craft beers are appearing sold in cans latelyas well. WhatWhy might account for this trendthey be choosing cans over bottles?
Is there a taste or shelf-life benefit to canned beer? Is it more ecologically friendly? OrOr is it just that consumers are willing to overcome their association of cans with cheap mass-market beersecological or marketing concerns?
